The Northeast Ohio Alliance for Hope is a broad-based community organization that unites area residents, block clubs, churches, social service agencies and nonprofits.
“Our core vision is to expand our organizing to reach neighborhoods throughout greater Cleveland, building a large and diverse, though primarily African-American, grassroots base.”
NOAH believes that residents themselves hold the solutions to the problems that face their communities. Therefore, we train and develop local leadership by identifying common issues and creating collective, strategic ways to address those issues while systematically strengthening institutions. NOAH serves as a sounding board for individual citizens and an umbrella organization for other nonprofits, faith-based institutions and community groups in the region.
NOAH is a founding member of the Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC), a statewide alliance of 11 organizations and is affiliated with National People’s Action (NPA), an organizing institute that provides training and coordination on national campaigns.
